My stay at Fountains Hotel was mixed. I appreciated the cleanliness and some of the friendly staff, though the facilities and overall room quality left a lot to be desired. The food was decent, especially breakfast, but organizing services was a bit chaotic at times.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were basic and not as depicted on the website. They felt outdated, and I noticed maintenance issues, such as a non-functioning light and unpleasant smells. Some rooms even lacked hot water.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were helpful and friendly, my overall impression was that service could be inconsistent. There were moments when it seemed they were overwhelmed, which affected the dining experience.
Location
6.0
I liked the location as it was central and close to attractions. However, I felt it was a bit sketchy at night, making taxis a necessity for safety.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a highlight. The chef at the omelette station was particularly cheerful. Yet, I found the dining experience at dinner to be disappointing and chaotic.
Facilities

The pool area was quite small and not very inviting, which was disappointing. Additionally, I faced some issues with their parking arrangements.

My stay at Fountains Hotel was quite a mixed bag. While the location near the V&A Waterfront is excellent for exploring, the service left a lot to be desired. The room I had was clean and spacious, but there were persistent issues like poor WiFi and unresponsive staff when I needed assistance. Overall, there were some positives, but the negatives really overshadowed the experience.

Rooms
6.0
My room was clean and spacious, but the view was disappointing. The air conditioning was not very effective, making the room quite warm at times.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly, but service at times felt lacking. There were issues with responsiveness, especially when I needed help with extending my stay.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is fantastic for walking to the Waterfront and exploring the city. It made for a convenient stay.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast had a good variety, but dinner service was hit or miss. On one occasion, I had to wait too long for menus and the waiter didn’t return for dessert.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities included essentials, but the elevators were frustratingly slow. Also, while the cleaning was daily, the swimming pool could use better maintenance.

My stay at Fountains Hotel was quite the mixed bag. On one hand, I enjoyed the spacious apartment room with a lovely balcony overlooking St Georges path. but on the other hand, there were some service hiccups that dampened the experience. The breakfast was solid and included a nice variety, yet there were moments when the dining could have been improved. Overall, it was a decent stay, but some inconsistencies could be addressed.

The apartment room was spacious and had a balcony, but it felt slightly outdated and not everything was functioning perfectly.

6.2/10

My stay at the Fountains Hotel was quite disappointing. While I received a warm welcome from the receptionist and had a pleasant interaction with the staff, the hotel didn't live up to its advertised standards. The rooms were far from what I expected, lacking basic amenities like hot water, and the overall maintenance left much to be desired. Service was inconsistent, with some staff being friendly while others seemed overwhelmed. I doubt I would recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Rooms
5.0
My room had a terrible smell, lacked hot water, and had dirty window panes. The maintenance was also lacking; cracked bathroom light and overall uncleanliness were major drawbacks.
Service
5.0
While some staff members, like Mr. D, were friendly and helpful, the overall service was inconsistent and felt inadequate when issues arose.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location felt deserted and not lively, which made it hard to find good dining options nearby. I found it a bit strange that the area seemed dead during the evenings.
Dining
5.0
I didn't eat at the hotel due to the poor service at check-in, but given the dining prices, it seemed a bit expensive for what I would expect after my experiences.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel claims various facilities, but the lifts were unreliable and the overall maintenance created a lackluster experience. Housekeeping also seemed rushed and unprofessional.

My stay at the Fountains Hotel had its highs and lows. The room offered a stunning view and romantic touches, especially for my anniversary celebration, but I faced some issues with comfort and service inconsistencies. Overall, the friendly staff and good breakfast made it worthwhile, despite some minor setbacks.

Rooms
6.0
The room was beautiful with a fantastic view, but the mattress was hard, and I noticed a faint cigarette smell. It could definitely use some updates and maintenance.
Service
7.0
The staff was warm, welcoming, and accommodating, especially during breakfast with the good chef at the omelette station. However, I did experience a frustrating check-in process.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was convenient, close to major tourist attractions. However, navigating the parking lot was a bit tricky.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was a foodie’s dream with plenty of options, though there were some concerns about the freshness of the hot food.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel offered several useful services, some areas felt a bit neglected, particularly the cleanliness of the reception area and functionality of the lifts.
